When I was little, I loved cats. My neighbor's cat had kittens, and my sister and I took one home in attempts to persuade my mom to let us keep it. It was gray- and white-striped with china blue eyes. However, my dad didn't like cats and I was allergic to them.
We did have two dogs, though, and so I have become quite the dog person now. But a part of me still loves cats. My dog, Otis, also loves cats. He wants so badly to play with them, but in his excitement he rushes up to them and they get scared, thinking he is about to attack them. What ensues is a lot of hissing, yelps, whining, and swipes of claws. The claws strick Otis and makes him angry. As Otis is rather a large dog, he gets the best of most cats.
The moral of this story is that you either should have a dog and no cats or a cat and no dogs.
On the contrary, you could have a dog and teach him to act like a cat.
