Ms. May of Atlanta, Georgia was politely sitting on the edge of a wicker chair that was perfectly placed on the wrap around porch of her father's plantation. By mid morning Ms. May was sipping on her sweet tea enjoying the colorful day. This was a good day, someone was coming home. Ms. May holding on to his hankie she feels excited. She leaves the porch to go into the kitchen to get something to eat "I am so hungry, I want some fried chicken.
Ms. May grabbed her purse and headed to her favorite diner. As she walked in the door, she was greeted by everyone who worked there. She was a regular and they all looked forward to seeing her.
"Fried chicken and biscuits?" Don asked. "
And a sweet tea please!" exclaimed Ms. May in a deep, southern drawl.
"Well of course Ms.May."
Ms. May returned home to find who she had been expecting. It was her son who had left five years earlier to work in the west. He hadn't been home since and he had only written five times.
"Johnny!" She exclaimed.
"Momma!" He exclaimed.
And they embraced in a long hug.
