"I am ready to go home."
My long days at work are turning into long evenings at work. I look around and I am in an empty office with the after hours cleaning crew. My strong black cup of coffee keeps me awake and focused on my task at hand. I long to be at home with my wife and kids. Waiting for my wife to finish dinner while playing with my two boys. Helping them grow into strong and caring men. As I come back to reality I realize where I am suppose to be. My stacks of paper work can wait until tomorrow. I need to be at home with my loving family.
I decided to take the day off to surprise my wife and kids at home. Their faces lit up when they saw my car pull into the driveway. As soon as I saw them, the guilt from leaving my stacks of paper work quickly faded.
For my day off we decided to take a daytrip to the beach. They boys packed up all of their sand toys and beach games. My wife got together a picnic lunch for us to enjoy, while also getting together the towels, sun screen, and drinks! We were ready to hit the road for a wonderful family day in the sun! The day was perfect, even if we all got a little too much sun. Work didnt cross my mind a single time, and I am so thankful I took the day off to spend time with my family!
