We recently purchased a Australian shepherd named Lacey. She is 8 months old and is marbled color. She has a one blue eye and one black eye. Different eye color is very characteristic of Australian shepherds. Lacey plays very well with our five year old Yorkie named Samson. Samson is all of 5 pounds. Big name, little dog. One day, Lacy ran away. Samson cried all night, as he wondered where Lacey might have run off to. The next morning, Lacy returned, with what appeared to be the remains of a rabbit in her mouth. Apparently, Lacy relied upon her survival skills in the wilderness. The rabbit provided Samson and Lacy with a nice lunch. Once lunch was finished, Samson told Lacy that he wanted them to talk about something. Lacy couldn't help but wonder if Samson was upset at her for running away, so she quickly told Samson that she was sorry for leaving without letting him know where she was going or when she would be back, but that she didn't intend to run away, she was actually just trying to get a squirrel to play with her by chasing it. Samson told Lacy that it was okay this time, but that she needed to be more careful in the future.
