I had a cat named Sam. He was white with grey fur. One day when I was about 9 years old I went into my barn and found him missing his ears and leg. He had been run over by a swather. This is a type of farm equipment that is used in harvesting wheat. We took him to the vet. They removed what was left of his ears and leg. We were so sad about his injuries, but he was just as happy.
That is so sad, I had cat once with cancer and she lost her nose and had to wear an little patch over that area to avoid infection. She seem to adapt better to her life than I did. I always worried about her and was fearful to let her outside much. She liked to hunt and bring me "things" and she continued to live as always , the patch was not an obstacle.
Well, both of your stories are very sad. I never personally had a cat, but my Grandmother did but her cat was not nice. Everytime we would attempt to pet her when we were kids she would always hiss and scratch at us. I believe this is why I am afraid of animals now. Oh the trauma of animals and it effect on me as a child.
