It is 2012 at 9am, Jenna had just finished breakfast and she is feeling happy because of the beautiful day. She is holding her coffee mug and she brings it up to her mouth to take a sip and she breathes in with deep contentment. She looks at the clock and realizes it is time for her to go to work and she shouts, "Oh no! I'm late!"
She was so happy this morning. The sun was shining, the air was warm, and the day was new. She sat on her front porch, looking out at her cozy neighborhood street. Kids were on their way to school, ladies were jogging, men driving off to work: routine. Life was good. She closed her eyes and placed her nose at the tip of her coffee mug and breathed in deeply. There is just something special about the smell of coffee in the morning. Glancing down at her watch, she realized it was time for her to go to work. "Don't want to be late" she thought to herself and walked out the door. Her morning ritual was her favorite part of her day.
She got to the subway and submerged herself in the chaos of people going to their daily jobs and errands. As she was walking to purchase her ticket, she noticed a homeless man sitting in the corner. Normally she overlooks him and continues on her day, but there was something great about today that she gave him her last dollar.
