It still rains outside. It has rained for days and nights. I wonder what will happen if the rain never ends. The ground is saturated to the point that millipedes and earthworms are drowning in the driveway. The flowers are soaked. The trees are bare. When will the sun come out and dry out all that surrounds me? Just as I asked myself this question, the rain began to die down. A ray of sun poked through a dissapating cloud to give hope in midst of the dwindling drizzle. This happened just in time to prevent all of the worms and trees from being overwhelmed by the strength of the rain. There was finally peace from the endless rain.
