I once had a cat named Kit Kat. She was a beautiful persian cat who was as unpredictable as she was pretty. Most often you would find her hiding high on cabinets. Which eventually led to Kit Kat's demise. She was the victim of a tragic accident involving a fly, a high cabinet, and one not so graceful leap. I still miss Kit Kat to this day but did not hesitate to befriend another furry feline, Hector. Hector is the exact opposite of Kit Kat. He spends most of his time warming and softening the sofa cushions. His hair tends to collect every where and this is a problem. There is so much hair on the sofa cushins it some times gets caught in my throat as it lifts into the air as I sit. I hope we can find a solution to the hair ball problem so we can keep sweet Hector in our home.
My home town is Alexander City, Alabama. This is a rural community of about 14,000. Most often shortened to Alex City by hometown folks, we are located about 40 miles west of Auburn and 75 miles south of Birmingham. Perhaps the most interesting and fun part of our town is the proximity of Lake Martin. About 60 years ago, Tallapoosa River was dammed which created Lake Martin. Lake Martin has over 400 miles of shore line. Wind Creek State Park is a popular tourist attraction.
